This is excellent for general purpose linear positioning. The rails and screw threads do have slight play in them so repeated positioning in less than .002 mm or 1 thousands of an inch is a bit difficult, but sure beats paying 3x the price of other linear positioners.

At first glace seemed ok and the adjustment mechanism is decent. But its just not rigid enough to resist racking perpendicular to the rails and lead screw. Was a bust for my intended application.

I'm pretty happy with the slide on first use. The drawing in the listing is fairly accurate, especially the screw layouts. There is almost no play in the gantry and the drive action is smooth without noticeable backlash or play. Very solid and well squared. Hard to beat for the price and the length of travel.

too much play on the travel for my application, tends to cause too much rock and deflection
