I recently got into bookbinding for a college class, so I ordered this to practice on my own, and I'm pretty happy with the results. The linen tape is pretty easy to work with once you've started to figure out what you're doing. Only thing is I wish it wasn't quite so expensive, but I'll take what I can get. I've started making little journals and sketchbooks for my friends, and they absolutely love them, and I wouldn't be able to without these linen tapes.

Looks like a well made product but not what expected so gave away (they loved it).I took off 1 star due to lack of product clarity. (Someone that does book binding may disagree).I would think “tape†- implies some form of adhesive (I guess you need to buy glue).“Clear†- there is nothing clear about it. (Being a fabric this is understandable ... but why use the word “Clear†in the description (I guess because it somewhat blends into paper pages)?

I used this product to reinforce the binding when I made my grand daughter scrapbook. It almost disapears when burnished and does not interfere with the function of the pages.I highly recommend this product and will certainly use it again in the future.

Do not use plastic tape in books. Eventually it will discolor and crack. Use this cloth tape to repair the bindings and rear edge of a loved, but damages book. Make sure you use it with a non acidic, flexible, book binder's glue.
