This pad was a little bit thinner than I hoped but it does the job. Most of the others I looked at were glorified tarps. I'll tell you why this is the best thing to use. When you start filling the pool, this is your only chance to get the wrinkles out of the pool liner. The best way to do it is when there is about an inch of water in it. Then get on your hands and knees and you can push the wrinkles out easily because the pool bottom slides easy on this felt pad.

We had an above ground pool put in, we live in the Ozarks and our yard is rock. Pool installer suggested we pour concrete and put a pad down over the concrete. Installer said it was a very nice pad and the size fit perfectly.

Makes the floor very flat and smooth. Protects the vinyl from sharp object if they exist at the bottom. Must have for above ground pool.
