The upper material is shiny black leather or caramel tan PU leather and the lining material is synthetic, which is both comfortable and durable.
Sound boards are screwed on taps. The shoe is classical Maty Jane easy strap style alongwith flexible outsole with a padded sole for comfort, and a padded heel collar to help protect Achilles tendon.
This shoe is well designed and made with excellent material, which is comfortable, flexible and durable for girls and boys to dance.

Great tap shoe for kids!Pros:- sturdy, well-made, snug fit- not patent!!!- both toe and heel taps both appear and sound well-securedCons:- DEFINITELY needs a break-in period - these are STIFF out of the box- not a fan of the round shoe laces. I think they're made of nylon polyester and are so slippery! Double-knots help to keep them secure, but my 6 year old has a hard time tying the laces on her own when she changes shoes between classes- they run slim - I wouldn't recommend for kiddos with wider feet.

My girls dance and they and their teacher love these shoes. They fit true to size, are comfortable and durable. My girls tap all the time, these have held up beautifully and after moths of dances and performances, they are still in perfect condition. Highly recommend!
