Wish the price was a bit better, it's a pretty simple thing, but just getting the thing together and to me causes the expense. A different one came in a 10 pack, but it didn't look as nice and 10 is a bit more than I wanted to deal with. Four or five for twice what I paid for this would be ideal. I got this for my parrot to sit with me on my desk while I work, and it's great. I had wanted an inch or two taller, but this is fine. He's a Jenday Conure (very similar to a Sun Conure) and his tail just clears the surface when he's sitting relaxed and his tail drops to its lowest. If I let him sit on my shoulder, he always starts going after my shirt, but if I'd put him on my hand, he'd just chill, so I thought a perch would let me type with both hands. And it does! He just chills, or chews on it. It is barely big enough to catch a poop if I forget to take him to do his business. He does drop wood chips all over my books, but that's fine, and he will eventually chew it up--that's what parrots do. Other wooden things like this last quite a while, even though they start looking pretty chewed up.I can also use it for a table-top training perch, although a metal one is actually better than that because the birds are not so driven to chew them, and I'd like to have a metal training perch but am not in the mood to spend the money presently. But I got this one for a nice place for my bird to hang out while I work at my desk and it's perfect for that. Here he is just chillin', almost asleep--and I can get so much done when he's that way!

I use my desk alot and needed a new perch, other than my laptop, for my Quaker and lovebird. For the size, I would buy 2 next time (good size for either but not both) but they both like taking turns on it. It can fit both of them, it's just a little snug. Great product

This is a great portable little perch. It's lightweight and easy to assemble. The only minor issue I have is that it doesn't screw very tight and tends to need correction, but it's honestly hardly an issue. Highly recommended.

Little Kiwi likes his perch. It's natural wood grade. I hope he doesn't chew it as he gets older. But overall I'm pleased, easy to put together.

I have a training stand like this already but needed a second. The company I originally bought from no longer carried the item, so I bought this. It does work. I just hate that it has this screw on top the perch (my old one does not). Had I looked closer, I would not have bought it because of that screw. Also, it does not come with instructions. It is simple enough to put together, though.

When we brought home our parrotlet, we needed to weigh her to see if she is staying healthy and eating enough. We purchased this to place on top of a gram scale. She loves using this perch and will sit happily. It is small, so she doesn't want to remain on it, but it is a great avian perch for a gram scale.

Assembly was easy. Came with a very small screwdriver.Sturdy enough for 200 gram parrot. Will use it with kitchen type gram scale.I wrapped the horizontal wood with vetwrap for traction.

Since July, this stand has served its purpose well for training sessions, but it has its flaws. The perch is the right size for small birds like parakeets or cockatiels, but the base isn’t weighted enough, making it prone to tipping over if the bird gets too excited. The spinning mechanism works smoothly, but the quality of the wood and plastic components feels cheap. Over time, the perch has started to splinter, which could be harmful to the bird’s feet if not maintained. It’s portable and easy to clean, but the overall build quality leaves much to be desired for regular use.
