I used the sticker create a 15 foot wide custom headboard for a design client who wanted a modern medieval aesthetic. The distress look of the hex bolts and the size added character to the bed. The final result was stunning. I love them. Will absolutely use them again in the future

These are the perfect lags for small/short handrails. The threads are well cut and the lags hold very well. Perfect choice to keep the hardware small, but strong.

LionMax black lag bolts are made from 100% solid 18-8 (304) Certified Stainless Steel, ensuring top-notch protection against rust. These lag screws are applied a Black Oxide coating that not only gives a non-reflective appearance but also enhances resistance to corrosion and abrasion.Unlike painted, powder-coated, or zinc-coated finishes, the company states that the Black Oxide finish won't chip, peel, or scratch off. Although some reviewers have said they do. They haven't for me. These black lag bolts are ideal for outdoor applications where high resistance to corrosion and rust is essential, such as deck building or assembling manufacturing equipment. Lag screws are commonly used in wood applications when a robust fastener is needed to join pieces of wood or attach metal to wood. For optimal performance, it's recommended to drill a pilot hole before installing the lag screws to prevent the head from breaking under torque. I like them and I do recommend them for non-structural strength applications.

I am building exterior structures around the farm, and I want them to be sturdy and to last as I am getting older. These stainless lag bolts have been used for exterior fixtures exposed to the weather elements for the past 3 months, and they have no evidence of corrosion or concern. The inch and a half-length is great for using them on hangers. They are slightly bigger than the holes but with a little pressure they will sink in using a powered-hammer drill. The black coating adds a nice look to the exposed bolt heads. Using a washer, they will be the perfect length for any two-by board without penetrating the opposite side. I love having an abundance of these bolts for just about any usage making them versatile.

The description is a little off. These are lag screws and not lag bolts. It should be pretty obvious from the pictures but I've seen many reviews referring to them as bolts. As far as lag screws go, these seem to be of reasonable quality. I can use them for most of my projects that are not "life-protecting". They are a really nice size and will fit most of the applications that I need them for. They are great for exterior use such as decking or fences. Way cheaper than the Big Box.

Item description: 304 SST black oxide finished lag screw 5-16 x 3 inchBrand: LIONMAXItem: B0CLNX8PSFDate received: 2024-01-04Headline - Good value on shop-grade stainless steel lag-screws; 5/16 inch x 3 inchProduct Claims15 Ct, 5/16 inch x 3 inch hex head lag screwmaterial: 304 SSTfinish: black oxideI received exactly what was claimed in the product description as to quantity (15 total items), material (stainless), size (5/16-inch x 3 inch) and type (hex head lag screws). They were contained in a hinged plastic box, which was taped closed. The box label says LIONMAX LAG SCREW 5/16" x 3" Hex Head with a code L-P15-HLSS5163BS and note Made in China.I can't assess the product claim that these are specifically 304 alloy stainless steel, but they are only mildly magnetic, as would be normal for most highly cold-worked stainless steel alloys. (Carbon steel would be much more strongly magnetic.)These are fully-threaded to the underside of the head.Typical measurements from a single unit, inchesNominal Thread Thread Thread Overall Threaded HeadDiameter Major Minor/Root Depth Length Length Thickness Diameter Diameter5/16 in 0.2955 0.2255 0.035 3.18 2.855* 0.2005---*From start of first full thread under the head to the tipHex Head WrenchWidth Size0.493 0.500Why stainless? - stainless screws are not necessarily the highest strength screw you can find (carbon steel screws are normally stronger), but they are normally strong enough for most uses, and they will not corrode (much, some mild surface corrosion is possible). They provide a great broad-based solution for small shops.
