If you set the right expectation, it's an amazing tool. Yes, it's cheap plastic, but all it is is measuring. The angle is great to fit into tight spots, allows you to take a break pad measurement without removing the wheel. I don't know why most texts don't have this tool, they have the metal kind that requires the wheel to be removed in order to use.. and also they charge ridiculous amounts for them. This gets the job done, and doesn't break the bank. I'm a technician by trade, so it is used often

If you are the type of person to check the current wear level of your disc brake pads, these are a good tool to have. The are shaped to easily stick the gauge along the edge of the brake pad. If your vehicle has a fancier spoke type wheel, you might be able to read the pad thickness without even taking off the wheel But I would count on having to take the wheel off to take a thickness reading of your pads. Nice tool.

Pretty good when you can't fit a measuring tool the brake pad holes. I find this kit to be pretty close to accurate.

These work really well for measuring brakes without having to disassemble them or remove the wheels. The slight dogleg in their design works really well to get into the brake assembly. The chain that they are attached to is big enough that the ones you're not using can hang far enough away to not get in the way while you're using the one you want.The material is a bit soft, however. It's a medium-hardness plastic. I can see these wearing out and losing their accuracy after many uses. Good for a shadetree mechanic, maybe not the best for a professional who will be using them daily.

素晴らしいアイデア商品です。パッドに対して縦にも横にも挿して計測できるので、様々な車種を計測する人には特におすすめです。プラスチックの板なので安っぽい割に高価ですが、使いやすさを考えると納得できます。チェーンでまとめられていて使いづらいので、私は他社商品のようにボルトナットに付け替えて使っています。

Much easier to use with the hooked end. Still going strong after 6 years of use every workday. The hooked ends are not worn at all.
