Writes on multiple surfaces: This Listo grease marking pencil can be used on hard, glossy non-porous surfaces such as plastic, rock, tiles, polished stones, ceramics, glass, and porcelain.
Practical Uses: It can be used for photographic purposes such as glossy paper, contact sheets, x-rays and much more. Construction works can use these pencils for tile cutting (water will not erase it), marking on wood, metal, sheetrock, counter tops and much more. You can also use this in the household for writing on your freezer containers, re-sealable bags, glass jars, chore lists and many more things. Take this to the garden and use it on your garden/plant markers because the rain will not erase what you mark.
Wipes right off: If you want to wipe away the markings later, just use a soft cloth and a tiny bit of cleaning spray or use a little water and some elbow grease and it wipes right off!
Refillable: After you finish using the grease stick in the pencil, just pick up a Listo 162 refill for you pencil and keep on writing. Listo 1620 pencils can be refilled with any color Listo 162 refill.

I've been using Listo wax pencils for 23 years and found them reliable every time. I used them to mark plain film x-rays but sine upgrading to a digital x-ray system now use them to write on my garden labels.

The Listo I currently use is 30+ years old. I bought (black) refills for it, but found this assortment and decided to add other colors. Added a couple to each of my son's tool boxes as well.

Only thing ive found to reliably write on things that are wet! The advancing screw is a little weird and it doesn't work on galvanized metal but it beats out even milwaukee markers when its wet and in 4 years i havent had a single one break. You might have to use a little force in really cold conditions but it will get the job done!
