I am the unfortunate owner of two (very expensive) burned out electric pond pumps, due to unforeseen flow issues which then draws the water out of the pump well and allows the pump to overheat. I just installed a third pump and decided that I needed to try this product. I think this is a game changer in terms of the life expectancy of my third pond pump. The installation was quick and easy and the single test I performed went stellar! I gave this product a high durability rating even though I know nothing about its durability other than what I have read from other reviewers when I was doing my purchase research, but time will tell!

I use a Little Giant submersible pump to drain pools, which came with a float to shut off the pump when the pool was almost empty. Unfortunately the last time I drained a pool, the plug on the float was damaged and became unusable. I went to the store where I purchased the pump only to find out the manufacturer no longer sells the float individually. I was told I would have to purchase a new submersible pump even though my current one still works just to get a float. Not wanting to give up, I decided to look online and found this float. I'm glad I did because it looked and worked like the original and saved me $$$

After replacing 2 cheaper switches over 3 years, I installed this one. This is a solid replacement switch with better materials and construction than most of the other cheap switches out there. Only slightly more expensive, you get quality and value for what you pay. Easy to install. Very dependable silent operation. Ejector pump operates flawlessly now.

I had bought another float but found it was too sensitive and was on and off a lot. This float aactivates and deactivates around 45 degrees which was perfect for my application.

After wasting time with two of the same crap brand switch that failed and flooded our basement, we got this one and it works great.The install instructions are clear, the plastic housing is more buoyant than most and floats easily, the trip angles are ~+45deg turn on and ~-45 deg turn off as advertised, and the cable is nice and soft, allowing the switch to float and trigger properly.Get this. It's a well known brand and for the small premium over a crap brand, it's well worth it to prevent a flooded basement.
