Lixie screw in style replaceable urethane faces are utilized for all Lixie Dead Blow mallets. Lixie replacement urethane faces are impervious to oils and most solvents, have high impact absorption, and will not mar, peen or deform the struck surface. Polyurethane striking faces wear and performance characteristics are significantly superior to other commonly used materials such as lead, rawhide, rubber, thermoplastic, etc.

What can I say it’s a soft head for Lixie Hammer great for a machinist or anyone who needs to hammer something without damaging or denying it. Just make sure you pick the right size because I accidentally bought the wrong size on my first try.
