It’s difficult to find sanding blocks as low as 36 grit. Sounds ridiculous, but I use them to file down my dogs toe nails (he’s afraid of clippers and nail grinders.. 🤦ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸) and they work great. 36 grit wears down fast, so I’d have extra on hand if you have a lot of sanding to do.

These are good for basic sanding and prices well. Took away one star because on tough wood, they started to tear and rip a bit. Good for soft wood and drywall

I purchased the 36 Grit pack of 6 for redoing a subpar job our builder did on my 14 car garage ceiling that houses several 60s and 70s classic muscle cars including my father’s 1969 428 cobra jet Mustang with just under 2,300 original miles… Size of garage measures approximately 26 thousand square feet… anyway I only used 3 of the 6 sponges and they held up pretty well.

These blocks are not quality sanders. It rips easily and the after work result is poor. Recommend getting the 3m ones from home depot. You'll see a huge difference.

Some sanding sponges last almost no time. I sand my carving with them and I am pretty hard on them but these are much more hard wearing than most. Very good price too.
