Just grilled veggies on the BBQ tonight with this excellent new grill basket. Artichokes, bell peppers, cauliflower all turned out perfectly! I wasn't sure how it would be to use no oil and just seasonings, but it was great, and then I added oil after. The pan cleaned up very well and feels durable. I sett it lasting for decades.

I bought this pan to do stir-fries on the grill. It is awesome. The holes are the right size and the flavor of the grill comes through. Any vegetables cook thoroughly and the meat comes out delicously. I can make a large meal or a samller one because the pan accomodates both. The cast iron is easy to heat and retains the heat so your food cooks evenly. I am glad I bought thisas it is great clean up and a great addition to my grilling pan collection.

I did tilapia fillets over charcoal on my first use. I knew going in that was going to be "as bad as it gets" in terms of cleaning, and it was in fact pretty bad. The surface was no problem but the bits of fish that got inside the holes, that took forever. Did steaks next (and that's what I really bought this for), much less cleaning hassle (but still more than a regular cast iron skillet). DRYING this, plan on blasting it with canned air (after towel drying) or you're going to get rust because of moisture remaining inside the holes. I have an electric air mattress pump I'm going to try next (canned air is expensive). It blasts pretty well. A hair blow dryer might do the job too but I don't own one. This item is a "labor of love" for sure, but I'm willing to deal with it because the combination of cast iron sear and getting your charcoal/mesquite/whatever also in the equation, well there's very few ways to do that and this is one of them. Cast iron grill grates don't even come close.

I love this pan for stir frying on the grill. Since it's cast iron, it's very heavy, but you don't have to worry about placing directly on the hottest part of your grill. I was going to get another brand for 4 times the price of this one, but I'm glad I went with the Lodge one. Since grills can be very, very hot, I don't have to worry about this one getting ruined from the excessive heat.

This is perfect for anyone looking to grill a ton of veggies! Season the pan, lightly oil the veggies, grill and add seasonings (like onion butter, yum!). Even my veggie "haters" love them when I use this pan. No more lost pieces falling through! It's very sturdy- as cast iron should be, and cleans like a charm. I seriously don't know how I've grilled without it!!

Either I never saw this product before (probably) or just ignored the signs, but this puppy does an outstanding job for grilling vegetables! I can't count the other types and models of "vegetable grill baskets" that have gone the way of all flesh, but this one is a definite keeper!

when I clicked "Buy" I was regretting my purchase because it said 12 inch grill. I was afraid the 12 inch also included the handles which might mean that the actual diameter was much less. I was pleasantly surprised that the 12 inch grill truely refered to the diameter (see photo attached). I have been using my Weber charcoal starter as a convenient grill with those China made steel meshes which are really hard to clean and a typical throw away after every BBQ, so with this Lodge Grill, either placed top side up or top side down, fits the Weber starter perfectly. (top side down is good for meats on skewers). Thank you Lodge !
