I was getting low on my Logan 8 ply single bevel mat cutter blades, so I thought I'd order a new pack of 100 blades item number 268-100 just like my now almost empty older package. Both packages identical, same graphics and everything. The new blades are hideous. They barely cut into the 8 ply- mat board and when after 3 or 4 swipes with my mat cutter the edges are ragged and wavy. It ruined my matboard and 8 ply is expensive. What am I doing wrong I asked myself? So, I switched out the new blade and put one in from my almost empty older package and it cut perfectly. On comparing a blade from the new package with a blade from the older package there was a distinct difference in the width of the sharp cutting edge. I looked at some random blades from the new package and they all have the same skimpy cutting edge. Beware of buying these as Amazon says I have to deal with Logan on this which is what I'll do. I'm not a happy camper.

If you are like me and you like single edge blades, this is it for logan cutters. Personally, I think single edge blades cut much straighter, and have less drag. The down side is that you can only use one tip, because if you turn it around it wont cut right. The bevel HAS to be facing you. Meaning you should be able to see the bevel when you put it in the cutter head. If you put it in the other way it will cut super crazy and wobble all over the place. Also, this fits my framer's edge cutter but I dont think it fits my hand cutter. Make sure it fits your cutting device. It cuts 8-py but I use it for everything.4 stars is because they are much better than any of the other logan blades, but they are not as good as the blades for pro cutters like c+h and fletcher. They give me good cuts, I'm satisfied.
