This is the second Lokar Trans Dipstick I ordered for the 4L80E. The first was a short stick that barely came out the transmission. Sent it back. This one is 24†long. I thought it would be long enough. It attaches to the bell housing right near the exhaust manifold. Which would make checking the dipstick (while the trans is warm) a pain considering the exhaust manifold would be hot and next to the dipstick. I really wanted one that would attach to the bell housing and would be closer to the top near the intake/head area. But they don’t make it in black. So this is going back and I’m just getting a stock replacement instead. For $115, this is not worth it. This should be around $60-$80. I will probably never buy another Lokar dipstick again based on these last 2 purchases.
