Can older dogs be trained to use the Pet Potty or is it primarily used just for puppies?
Although the training process varies from dog to dog, training adult dogs can be quite easy, since they have learned to control their bladder and yearn to please their masters. It is simply a behavior modification process requiring consistency, time, patience and proper use of a reward system. It should be noted that training an adult dog to “go” in an indoor potty area may take additional time and perseverance.

Most dogs are house-trained from an early age. And are able to go outside when they need to relieve themselves. Some dogs are even trained by their owners to ring a bell when a call of nature occurs.
However, if you live in an apartment or a home where you don't have access to a garden or yard, what's a dog to do when he needs to go and he just can't wait? And what about dogs whose owners work long hours, leaving their pups home alone? You can't reasonably expect your dog to wait more than a few hours before he has a chance to relieve himself.

I bought this artificial grass/PeePee pad tray for our deck outside. My dogs are used to going potty outside on their own, by using a dog doggy door and going potty on the grass. However, we purchased a new home that doesn’t allow fences and has a main floor deck that is on the 2nd floor (since we have a walkout basement). Hope that makes sense. We put in a doggie door in our sliding glass door and now they can go in and out and use the PP pad on the deck. Of course you have to periodically clean it at least a couple times a week because the urine does smell, if left on the turf. I just spray it down with water and use a urine control spray and it works perfectly. I no longer have accidents in my house since they can go outside on the deck

It has holes in the bottom which is not mentioned on here for the 6 by 6. . I’m pretty upset with that because I needed No holes, so I could use this in my house. I didn’t want to waste $100 on buying three dog trays. I searched for three days and for hours and finally thought I found one without holes. I was wrong because it came with holes all over the bottom. Second issue was the measurements. I measured one side a-crossed to the other and it was only 71 inches long, not 6 foot. Then measuring the other side across and it was also 71 inches, but those two sides were cut so Crooked that I had to take 3 inches off the one side and 2 inches off the other side just to get straight lines. That is how badly they were cut. Also I used both my measuring tapes so I know it was 71 x 71“. Then there is black marker all over the bottom from the cut lines that they missed. I needed exactly 6 x 6 foot for my dog playpen. I lost a lot of inches on this grass mat. It’s a factory and they couldn’t even cut an exact 6 by 6 foot grass mat or cut a straight line, which made me lose five more inches due to how crooked it was. My child could’ve cut a straighter line than what they did that’s how badly it was cut .So I had to figure out how to fill in all the holes in this grass mat so my dogs wouldn’t pee through it which took some time. Then I lost so many inches on this grass pad that it doesn’t even fit under my dog playpen right. If you’re going to sell a 6 x 6 foot grass mat for that price you need to make sure we are getting what we paid for. Also it needs to be advertised that it has holes in the bottom and a picture showing holes. Also the 6 x 6‘ mat is a completely different material than the smaller size. Each are made for a different purpose.

Very impressed by the size of this pad. I love that it comes with the tray and two grass pants. The size is also wonderful for a medium size dog and possibly a large one. Both of my dogs are between 40 and 50 pounds. They use it very easily on my deck. I think this one is a decent quality. I find all of these to be a bit on the pricier side, but I am glad this comes with so many options.

I bought this for a small area where my dog always lays outside. The turf came folded up, very light weight. We decided we couldn't just lay it on the ground so we spent extra money on weed barrier, sand and stakes to hold the turf down. We only needed a 4' wide piece by 10' so we thought we could cut the side 2' off and piece it on the end of the turf. Nope. The rubberized backing guaranteed that even gorilla tape would not adhere. We ended up ordering another piece so we could fill our small space. After hours of work, the piece looks like what it is - a cheap piece of fake grass. The folds from the original packaging will not come out and after a rain last night, we discovered the turf is not porous. So much for using it as a potty spot for the dog. Do not waste your money. Get a remnant from a real artificial turf place and you'll be much happier.
