This stereo has a beautiful, classic design. For the size and cost, the sound is wide, rich, and deep. The bluetooth connection and CD player both sound good, but I purchased this unit mainly for its FM radio feature. And I'm very pleased. The antenna pulls in stations well, and it delivers great audio, from classical to NPR to metal. I purchased this unit in November 2024, and unfortunately, the FM radio suddenly stopped working a few days ago (early February 2025). At first I thought it might be the antenna connection, but it was something internal. I contacted Amazon, but they offered no suggestions or solutions. Thankfully, the distributor/manufacturer Lonpoo offers a full-year warranty, so I contacted them directly via email. I got a very prompt response with some suggestions to try to fix the problem, and when those didn't work, they quickly sent me a replacement unit, which I received just three days after my initial contact. I'm very impressed with the customer service and response I received from Lonpoo Direct, and I hope this stereo lasts me for years.

First off, I got this to gift to my mother. Her 20+ year old Kenwood HM332 stereo system started to have problems. The CD player on it was going bad and I think the amp board was starting to also go out. This "Lonpoo" stereo system is perfect as a replacement. It has the classic wood look, that all old hi-fi systems were known for back in the day. It arrived well packaged, and the quality and construction of the unit is great! I tested many CDs, and it played them all great. It is really responsive when loading a disc and skipping around to different tracks. It played CD-Rs I burned years ago just fine, so that shouldn't be a concern to anybody (although I don't know if weird formats would be a problem. I always burned music to discs using the full .wav format, so keep that in mind). It pairs to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth, and is easy to do. The sound from that source is also great. I tried Pandora and YouTube and they all sounded great on it. I'm sure Spotify sounds great too. It has a surprisingly good amount of bass for the price; that seems to be due to the wood cabinet everything resides in. I have found that the EQ presets are useless though. Keeping it on the default "flat" preset is best. Classic, POP, Rock and Jazz made it sound like crap. Anyway, if you are looking for a nice, "retro" stereo system, this is for you. It goes nice with any decor. One final point, I don't know what the Toshiba and Crosley branded units here on Amazon give you over this Chinese branded unit. Those other two cost around 50 bucks more, and look virtually identical to this one (buttons on the front might look different and placement might be different, but that is really all). I would consider this unit before the other brands.

I needed a one room music player with a small footprint and decent sound. This well-made player has delivered on all counts. It has an AM/FM radio tuner, plays CDs (yes, I still own physical discs!) and USB flash drives containing MP3s (and other audio file formats) and it also acts as a Bluetooth speaker if you want to stream music from a phone or tablet. Quite versatile. Decent sound, can fill a good sized room. On the downside (relatively minor complaints): (1) a clock display / alarm is a common feature of these type devices and is not present here; and (2) the programming of radio station favorites is clumsy and frustrating. Case is a woodgrain composite material that is heavier, more durable and better-looking than the typical plastic product. All in all, good value for the delivered features.I am very pleased with the purchase.

The product arrived with the cheap, flimsy remote broken. (One of the battery connectors had disappeared.) Apparently there is no way to just replace the remote, you have to replace the whole blasted thing.Update: Amazon (AI?) insisted that the WHOLE system had to be replaced because the “remotes are programmed to work only with the paired player.†Lie. New package arrived; took out replacement remote; worked just fine with first player. Now I have drive over specially to return large box that was needlessly sent when all they had to do was send me a small remote. I’m so disgusted with the situation I almost forget the player sounds pretty good.

I have been looking for a cd player with built in speakers and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there but I did stumble across this one and after comparing this with others I decided to try this one. Now I was looking for something more modern in looks but after opening this and setting it up I actually like the wood and metal. The construction of this is very solid, it has good weight to it. The only thing that feels really flimsy is the disc tray. It's a really thin tray but I think it will be fine as long as you are just putting the disc on with force or trying to bend the tray.The included remote for this decent as well. Some of the other ones I seen came with a very cheap looking remote with mushy buttons. The remote is still plastic but is fine for the price. The only thing about the remote which I would say is nitpicking is that the channel down and up are swapped in my opinion. The channel down is at the top and the up on the bottom.For the sound this was what really surprised me. It was much better than I was expecting. Sound is very good and has good bass. Not super heavy with bass so don't expect that. I have used this with CD, Bluetooth and radio. Bluetooth worked just fine, didn't have any issues with connection. The radio worked fine as well, it does come with an antenna. Some stations did have some static but that could be where I have it placed and I also didn't really unwind the antenna since I won't really be using the radio.Overall I was am very happy with this player and may consider getting another one for another room

This unit is perfect for our needs. It fits exactly where I wanted it. The audio quality is excellent and it goes very loud. Playing Mp3s off a flash drive works well, and they sounds quite good. The FM radio also sounds great. Very nice that it comes with a remote as well which has a lot of functions. Knocking one star off due to minor damage -- not on the stereo, but the back cover on the remote (battery cover) came with a big crack in it. I have super glued it but I am worried it will break when the batteries need to be changed. Not a deal breaker to not order this stereo since its a fluke.

The 5 stars has nothing to do with Amazon. I'm giving it 5 stars because customer service at Lonpoo was amazing! The response to my emails was within 24 hours and they were more than helpful. At the end of the conversation, they were kind enough to add there was a 1 year warranty if anything were to occur.About the product:Sound covered the room very nicely. For the size it is very powerful. CD sounded crystal clear. The radio picked up great reception even without the antenna. It has 5 different settings that goes from deeper bass to less. And the retro design is simple yet stylish and sleek. The only flaw - which isn't major - the disk tray seems a thin and the remote quality doesn't seem to match the level of the unit. Still a fantastic product and worth every penny!

Put a cd in it when I first received it and it worked fine. Then later on that evening I put another cd in and I kept hearing a static sound, and then I could smell something emanating from it that smelled like burning. I touch the top of the unit and it was hot. So I immediately turned it off and unplugged it.Really disappointed because I liked the look of the unit, and it sounded so great at first.
