Just right for a home office that's shared with a nursery. Locking feature is useful as different people access the room and our confidential papers are safe. It's solid; moves without much issue. Although the designers need to reassess the caster wheels. An inferior product of theirs has these massive wonderful rubber wheels while this one, which is far heavier and sturdier, still uses the plastic casters, which don't roll as well on carpet. I even tried to swap the casters (I ordered the inferior model first and then this locked model...same manufacturer so definitely check out all their products before choosing) but no, they weren't swappable. Haha, too bad. Oops, did I say that out loud?

This is exactly what I needed, has wheels, lock, working top surface with storage below and very easy to put together!

Love the design of these for cabinets and the economical price. They are so pretty and don't look like the conventional file cabinets drawers. Love the additional storage underneath. Love love love the wheels. The wheels are a good size and strong and role easily across the floor. Fitting that last corner together is a bit of a challenge but once it's together it's very strong.

For the price it's a good deal , however you must assemble it with easy directions, but the top of my file cabinet is still on the floor. Hard to explain, it suppose to slide into place, I guess the greasy side slits are to make the job easier, but I either have no strength to slide into place or need someone else to try.. In the meantime it's still sitting on the floor. Overall, it's an amazing little cabinet, with four wheels and shelf at bottom, It was delivered on time and neatly box. It's great for my home office you can pull it to you anytime you need a file and push it away when your done. I loved it so much I ordered a second one for my work office, This way I can get someone stronger than myself to pull the top on, then I can switch

This is not heavy duty and I don't expect it to last forever. However, perfect for my needs and reasonably priced. Easy to move around. If you have limited room and need portable file cabinet, I think you'll be pleased. I have two and would buy another if need arises.

If any of you are old enough to know— it’s not a pendaflexer. And it’s made in China. Overall a well designed piece that is reasonably easy to assemble, Phillips screwdriver is required. Once assembled it works well. I have loaded the bottom shelf to the max with supplies, boxes of folders and envelopes, the top is loaded about 60%, no problem. The sliding top required reassembly after me dropping it, no tools needed, just a little hand pressure. When finished it has a good feel to it. The lock is not used, so I cannot comment on the effectiveness of it. A good value, I will buy it again.

I love this thing but when I first got it and put it together I was ready to throw it off the balcony :p the instructions suck. Sides assembly is soooo not accurate. I about had the whole thing assembled until I got to the point where I had to put the two sides on and I'm like are you kidding me? Disassemble and start again Without the instructions. Now that it's been a couple weeks, lol, it's all good. I like it - a Lot. It got banged up pretty good during assembly (it basically collapsed on me when I had to disassemble and start over) when I had to tear it down to the corner rails and bottom shelf only (no file up top yet). But I don't care if it has scratches or minor dings so long as it works when done. Oh - and when it says to assemble the handle? Um...it's already assembled :pLots of space. Just what I needed. Locks fine. I store the keys in the handle area - they just lay in there and don't get in the way.Use your nugget and not the instructions and you'll be fine...

Pros:1) I like that it is metal, not plastic ... metal feels more durable to me than plastic. Also, plastic can crack, which would negate the purpose of the lock2) Easy to assemble; the instructions don't say you need a Philips screwdriver but I found it handy to make sure the screws were tightly in place3) Looks nice and fits well into a small space4) Comes with 2 keys so you have a back-up5) the top slides extremely smoothly when you open and close the cabinet - I really appreciate this. If I had to struggle to pull the top down and back up every time I used the cart it would be very annoying.6) Price - it's not easy to find a locking metal file cabinet for around $50, no matter the size7) The wheels swivel easily so that the cart can be easily maneuveredCons:1) Not particularly sturdy, which is fine for me because I only use it to store a few things. I imagine if I put a lot of weight onto either shelf they would bend / collapse2) I cannot get the cover to align properly when I lock it. I can press down on one corner but if I tug a little, then that same corner will rise again. In the end, the cabinet does stay locked. I just wouldn't put seriously private or valuable items inside. As the corners don't align / close flat, someone might be able to pull up the corners and, with some force, break the middle lock. So, why only three stars when there are so many pros and less cons? Well, Con #2 is pretty important since the whole point of having a locking cabinet is to keep belongings safe and certain items private / confidential and out of reach. One hard pull and the lock might break. Fortunately for me, the cart is kept behind a securely locked door.If you are going to keep the cabinet out in the open where people could access / damage the lock (causing loud noise without others seeing), I would not recommend this item.
