Held flip folder well, has soft padding so doesn’t scratch bell, but it was a bit heavy on the hands when holding the horn up.

This is a perfect alternative to the one my daughter was using before. The old one clamped onto the slide of her trombone and didn’t have a cushion so it scraped up her instrument. This new one can be put on the horn and it doesn’t scratch the brass.

This did not hold the flip book very well. Within a month the clamp broke and I ended up having to order a new lyre. I do not recommend this product unless you will be diligent on checking all screws nuts and bolts to make sure everything stays tight. If you do that it might last longer, maybe.

Does not stay in place. Tilts side to side, falls off, regardless of how tight it is.

This was too large for my son's instrument. So I had to send it back. But it was very sturdy. I believe it would have worked fir a larger instrument
