This cymbal came well packaged and free of any damage. I put it on my drum set to get a lower pitch out of my splash cymbal, and it worked well. It had a nice clean crash that was deeper than most splash's are, and after wailing on it for a few days, it doesn't look like it is going to crack. I also bowed this cymbal and it gave off a bright tone. Overall, this is a nice splash cymbal that I would recommend.

Ok, having "silent" in the title of a cymbal is a misnomer. 😆 There is nothing silent about drums.That being said, it is *a bit* quieter than a normal cymbal and has a less resonant/metallic sound. We actually really like the sound on it's own - it's a bit...crinkly? sandy? Hard to describe, but it's a softer more textured sound. My husband has used it inside a snare for a really unique vibe as well as on it's own.Good price for a cool lil drum accessory!
