I paired this with the Lucky Herp 50W ceramic heat bulb. Created a subtle warmth. Outside of the lamp never gets too hot to touch (although it may w/ a higher W bulb). I'm going to try the 75W bulb next, because I do need more warmth for my tortoise, but overall I am very happy w/ this lamp/brand.

It keeps my snake warm and happy. He has a cold and hot hide and this lamp makes it hot for him. What else you need to know? Just plug it and it works. Easy as can be. Exactly as advertised and nothing less I’m happy with it.

It delivers just the right amount of heat, and the outside of the dome isn't scorching hot like some other brands. Very pleased with this.
