This is a genuine Ludwig part which means it's well made. Unfortunately, it's not the same as what I had. This is a P2243B and my part was a P2243M. The difference is a spring loaded feature not in the B model. They apparently no longer make the M model.It works fine. It was for a 13" tom and I never strike its rim so no harm no foul. It came with extra bolts and washers which was nice.
