Wow! This thing is awesome! It just hogs the wood in about 5 seconds. Make sure you have a decent mains power drill for it. Battery drills don't really do it justice.

This is the first one I have used. It needs a 3â€log or less but cut well!

Great tool all around. Use a 1/2" drill with a side handle. Clamp your wood stock and go to town. Awesome! I am going to buy other sizes as it has inspired me to other projects.I am VERY pleased with the quality and effectiveness of this tool.

Works great with a little prep, if you have 31/2 inch wood It will need to be tapered a bit, it really works good on 3 1/4 inch.....But works beautifully when the right size wood it used.

You need a high torque low rpm drill. A cheap mixing drill is your best option if you want to save money. You will instantly burn the clutch of a standard drill.

I have to say I like this tool !I have had no real problems ...the blade came in a little dull but I was able to put a sharp edge on it with no problem...it is a tool that will last a long time...the steel is strong ...with a nice aluminum housing...

I found this tool to be all that it advertised to be. It's solid steel with an epoxy type coating, the cutters are razor sharp, and easily replaceable. I've only tried it out on a few test pieces so far but it cuts beauty tenons. I will use this tool to make some small diameter log furniture and an arbour. It cuts up to 2 1/2" logs but I shaved down a larger log and it worked just fine. I heavy duty drill is needed... hang on tight!

Get a 1/2 inch low rpm (600?) drill (try the used market). Set the blades to take a minimal amount of material. You will be happy if you do. If it jumps and binds and chatters you are trying to take too much material at once.
