For a one person household, this pitcher is the perfect size. The look is elegant and the construction is solid. I use it for drinking water, getting rid of plastic bottles. If there is a negative, it is that the pitcher feels very heavy when filled. I support the bottom it relieve pressure on the handle.

Very lightweight but I like that because it’s not too heavy when trying to pour. While the top looks nice it feels cheap and for the price you could probably find the same thing at the dollar store.

This pitcher is very light weight for a glass pitcher. The pitcher being made of thinner glass is nice for keeping overall weight down when the pitcher if filled and thinner features adds a bit of simple elegance. However, when filling the pitcher with ice cubes from the refrigerator door the sound of the cubes bouncing into the bottom of the pitcher made me a little nervous that the handle or bottom might break. It didn't break this time but in the future I'll add the ice after there is some liquid in the pitcher to reduce the impact shock.The cap seems to stay in place and has a screen and a larger opening setting. The cap works to keep the ice in the pitcher but the cap does not make an air/liquid tight seal. This was demonstrated with the cap set to closed and tilting the pitcher to the point where liquid easily went around the cap seal and poured out of the pitcher.
