My main worry with purchasing these was that one of the interior lights in my semi is reverse polarity, and the other is standard (verified with a multimeter). I've had various 1156 LED bulbs fail in the reversed socket, which is due to the nature of LEDs, but research indicates that higher quality LEDs can make use of any polarity, with the proper 'drivers'.At any rate, I got these and gave them a shot - sure enough, they work in both sockets! I'm thrilled. They definitely get hot if left on, but not near as hot as incandescent. If you're expecting entirely cool, this isn't it. But an inch away, you won't feel any heat at all, and you can certainly touch them without getting burned. As far as brightness, images don't do them justice. They are a brilliant white, which I prefer to the almost yellow of incandescent, and far far brighter than the brightest 1156 incandescent you'll find. I'd day that in my application, they easily rival daylight brightness, and certainly reduce eye-strain when I'm doing things in my truck at night. In my picture, I've got bright incandescent bulbs installed in one fixture, and the LED bulbs in the other. Each fixture takes two bulbs... And they are literally the same fixture; same plugs, internal reflectors, and covers. They take the same voltage, but are on different circuits in my semi. These two fixtures even have the same polarity. And... Well. You can see the difference. And that doesn't even do it justice.I'll gladly recommend them to anyone who needs an 1156 for just about any purpose.I tested these in a 2015 Freightliner Evolution, in both the dome lights (standard polarity) and the map lights in front (reverse polarity).

These are SUPER BRIGHT! The light is a daylight white and not yellow like others. Draws little battery due to being LED.I thought about giving only 4 stars not necessary for the product but for the seller. I purchased 15 bulbs and 1 bulb was bad. The seller sent me a replacement bulb and did not make me hassle with sending in the defective bulb. It took about 2 weeks to get the replacement bulb and I felt they were not in any hurry to fix the problem.I have attached photos of with these lights compared to other LED lights that we already had in our trailer. These light are so bright that you can't even look at them! In the photo the LED on the left is the Luyed bulb and the right is the other brands that you can buy on Amazon. See how you can't make out the individual led's in the Luyed? The second picture shows two light fixtures. The one on the left has the old LED's and the one on the right has the Luyed. I love how bright these are! I also took a photo to show what the other LED bulb looks like compared to the Luyed one. As you can see the Luyed one is much shorter. Definitely is a product that I would recommend.

So far so good on these bulbs. These bulbs are replacing some 1141 bulbs. The output color is definitely more white than the 1141. I've attached a couple of photos showing the light output of both bulbs. The camera exposure settings were fixed for both photos so you be the judge on which bulb is brighter. I think the LED lamp is slightly brighter than the 1141. I wasn't concerned with output color or brightness, just energy savings. These LED bulbs draw 0.30 amps (3.6 watts at 12.0 volts) vs. the 1141 bulbs at 1.4 amps (16.8 watts at 12.0 volts) based on my testing. It's great to be able to run almost 5 of the new bulbs for the same amount of energy as 1 of the old bulbs. I've been running 2 of the 5 bulbs for the past 3 hours with no issues.10/15/17 update: I use these bulbs very little and had 1 of the 5 burn out last week. I would say the bulb that burned out had less than 6 hours of use. The other 4 bulbs are still working fine so far.10/16/17 update: Seller is sending out a replacement for the dead bulb. Excellent customer service and very timely response to my issue.

Really like these bulbs! Purchased a travel trailer four months ago, and the "scare" lights were plain old tungsten filament 1156 bulbs - short life (one of the old bulbs has already died), yellowish light, and they consume a significant amount of current, which is NOT what you want in an RV when you go "dry camping"!The original bulbs consumed 2100 mA, and the claims to only consume 270 mA, so between the two lights on my trailer, these bulbs are using 3.6A less than the original bulbs - and they look better, and should last longer, than the originals. What's not to love??!!!

Replaced the old light bulbs in my horse trailer with these and they are super bright! Installation of them was quick and easy just took covers off pulled out the old incandescent style bulbs and installed these LED bulbs in my 12 volt lights turned them on and they powered right up! I don’t even need all 3 lights in the back of my horse trailer now could easily get by with the one at the front and one at the back! The bulbs use next to no battery either to run, which is great! The old light bulbs I had by the end of the weekend if I left the lights on in the horse compartment of the trailer the battery would be almost dead by the time we got home. Now I can use the lights for over 2 months without having to even plug the trailer in and charge the battery! Will definitely buy these bulbs again if I need some LED bulbs to convert my old lights!

Excellent. I use these to convert my vintage conversion van and pickup interior lights to LED. No regrets.

Better light than most others. I think they will last a long time. I like how many diodes are on them as over time some will likely die, but the decreased light output won’t be nearly as noticeable as led bulbs with only 6 or so diodes which get very dim quickly as diodes die

Liked the light intensity though I would recommend a Higher Lumin rating for buyers interested in this type of product! Priced a little high for the number (Quantity)!

I liked that it was easy to install. Plug and play type of bulb. No polarity or having to swap it out and switch positions. I used the bulb on my 93 Chevy k1500 on the floor interior lights and they are 10 times brighter then the original halogen bulbs and much cooler to the touch. I also used for the engine bay light and its way brighter the the old halogen bulb. Love the look and brightness. I have two spare led bulbs left. I will leave an update in about 6 months to see whether or not these bulbs can hold up. I did not leave a longevity rating as I just got them. They are quite affordable and easy to install.

1/2 of them seemed to work intermittently! On for an hour then next time you turn switch on they would nit work and a week later they would go on again. I have 4 lights in a row, so left them that was for a month.
