This is a wonderful 16 string lyre, tuned to the key of C, which gives you A minor as well. I allowed it to acclimate to our house temperature before tuning it. It was easier for me to use the piano, though I also have a tuner. Micro tuning is the name of the game, tiny gestures, and patience. The tone of this instrument is wonderful. I need lots of practice, but am enjoying the learning process. It was a great price. The color is a beautiful teal, and the designs on it are lovely. One complaint is that my tuner lacked a wooden handle.

This is great but my daughter had a lot of difficulty getting it tuned. Even when she did tune it perfectly, it would almost immediately fall out of tune. Over time it seems the strings have finally stretched out and it stays tuned.

This lyre is beautiful and well made. It was easy to tune and play. Bought by teenage grandchild with their Christmas money. Has had hours of enjoyment.

I was so excited to get this! It comes in a really nice cardboard box already inside of the bag. When I pulled the Lyre out of the box. It was wrapped in some sort of Styrofoam sleeve. Inside of the Styrofoam sleeve, I pulled it out and there is some sort of powdery substance all over the Lyre! All over it! I don’t know what it is, but my eyes are swollen, my face is itchy and it is all over the ground. I had to go outside and blow it off. It was not outside of the Styrofoam, in the bag. It was only inside of the Styrofoam. It is everywhere! Additionally, Take mention that the tuner as pictured was not wooden for the handle, it is all metal. I’m sure that once I get it tuned and everything it will be great, but first impression leaving my face, itchy, and needing to vacuum immediately was not something I was planning on.

It came in a pristine package no imperfections, looks beautiful, and plays beautiful, I just got into the lyre but this one is easy to understand and easy to tune, might eventually get the 24 string one I master the 16 string.
