I needed a short, 2-drawer file cabinet, and I wanted one that was not made of pressed sawdust and vinyl. This just fit my requirements. It's metal - very thin metal, but good enough. I tucked it under a workstation shelf and it fit perfectly, and the thin metal structure will take hardly any beating at all. Some people said theirs arrived bent, attributing the bending to the thinness of the metal. I ordered knowing that might happen to mine too, but I decided to risk it. Glad I did.

Just what I expected from reading other reviews. Didn’t give 5 stars because of no locks on the casters and the drawer lock does top accessory and top file drawer only. Wish it locked just the two file drawers. But happy with the product I received. Was very easy to attach casters and handles. It came well packaged and free of any shipping damage. Serves the simple home filing I needed just fine overall. Didn’t expect heavyweight metal for the price. Good value for the price.

I got the cabinet. It was fine. It came with handles for the drawers. However, it didn't come with the screws needed to attach those handles.So it's basically unusable. I've been trying to contact the seller to get replacement screws ever since, with no luck so far. I'll update this review if I ever get the missing pieces!UPDATE: They sent me replacement hardware! They were super nice and police and everything now works and I've updated the stars on my review!

I bought two of these together. They were shipped separately. I received one. USPS refused to deliver the other one because it was "oversized". Neither item weighed over 34 pounds. The shipper, Shoplet, is just another way Amazon disguises USPS as the carrier. Or, I suppose, if you buy a file cabinet that is small enough to fit in a 6"x4"x12" mail box, you will have a 50/50 chance of having your filing cabinet delivered to you. My knee jerk reaction is to buy from Amazon. Finally, I did what I should have done originally. Through eBay, I bought my cabinet from Lecangs LLC in Perris WH, CA. They ship by FedEx and their products are excellent with great prices.

I'm been searching around for an economical filing cabinet, and this one was within the price range I could afford. I was delighted to find that it was packed in such a way, with styrophone all around the corners, that I got the cabinet without a single dent or scratch on it. That was one thing I dreaded, getting a damaged unit, and the hassle of getting it exchanged. Mine arrived in perfect condition and I'm very satisfied and happy with it. There are 5" of the drawer that don't come out, but it seems it was necessary to do it that way, since the filing cabinet is small and very light weight. If the drawers came all the way out it would probably tip forward. The drawers are also solid from top to bottom. The handles are beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone for a home office. I'm single so it is plenty of room for the paperwork I have.
