This is perfect. It simply clips on. It was easy to clip it into place, yet tight enough to feel secure. My C310 camera was purchase way back in 2012 so it is pretty old, but still functional. The hinge has sufficient resistance to stay open even if the hinge is not fully opened. I wish Logitech had included a privacy shutter, but maybe that was less of a concern back in the days that the C310 was popular. With this add on, I now have an adequate web cam with privacy shutter for my work-from-home office. Nice!

The cover fits and works great at obscuring the camera lens. I'm giving it five stars, but really it should be 4.9. The only thing I don't like is that the cover obscures the mic as well when it's closed. It would be great if there was a cutout or some holes drilled in front of the mic so the audio would still work when the lens cover is down. I don't always need to be on cam during meetings, but not having to remember to flip the cover up to expose the mic would be great. I will probably add the sound holes myself, but this is a mod that the manufacturer might want to consider making.

I like Logitech devices. But sometimes Logitech drop the ball so hard, the planet shakes. And so it is with the C270 webcam. When I bought my C270, some time ago, it was one of the most popular webcams on the market. So it was a crazy oversight by Logitech to not fit the camera with even a rudimentary lens cover. I have been getting round the problem until now, by unplugging the webcam when not in use. But I finally got sick of the stray USB-A cable-end on my desk, and went looking for a privacy shutter. Like other reviewers have said, your choices boil down to round adhesive shutters that look awful, and usually cover the camera 'on' light, or this one. I don't begrudge anyone making a profit, but geez Louise! this thing is bonkers over-priced. But seeing as it seems to be the only 'proper' privacy shutter made for the C270 on planet Earth, I've been left with no choice. The only up-side, is that the shutter itself is good quality, fits the C270 perfectly and securely, and the shutter hinge has enough resistance, that it will stay open even when horizontal to the camera. The only down side (apart from the ludicrous price), is that the shutter covers the camera-on light. So the camera's microphone could potentially be on on behind the closed shutter. A small transparent window that allows you to see the camera light would make this shutter perfect. I got around the issue, by transferring my video call audio over to my desk mic. It kind of makes me want to get into basic 3D printing. So I can make basic things like this myself.

This fits my Logitech C270 perfectly, and the shutter cover stays open when I'm on meetings. Easy to fit and I can now ditch the makeshift sticky note cover I was using. I have bought another one for my home webcam.
