Amazon to the rescue! Why do pendant designers think we want to see a cord hanging from the ceiling! We searched everywhere for nice pendants that used a down rod. The pendants we loved only had an ugly clear cord. The light store was ambivalent about being able to special order down rods. So I searched Amazon and found these. Luckily the rod threads fit the ceiling plate of the pendants we had.

The rods fit the original rods that came with the dining room chandelier. The a color was perfect. We are glad we found them.

I looked for months and months for pendants that would work with my high ceiling and none existed in a good price point. So I decided to buy pendants that worked with extenders. These extenders worked perfectly and ended up costing 75% less than if I bought pendants at this length.

I was hesitant to buy these down rods for a pendant light made by a different manufacturer. The wires fit inside with no problem and the screws on the rods/light fixture fit like they were made for each other. Some people commented that the rods won't stay together. Just made sure the wires inside aren't twisted and retighten the rod before hanging. This addition really 'dressed up' the pendant lights.

These were great addition for our new pendant lights that only had wire and this completed the look. Wondered if they would be compatible and fit and they did!
