This Inductive Proximity Sensor Switch his NPN Normally Open DC 12-24V with 4 mm detecting distance and a 1.2 meter cable length. This is perfect for sensing objects that pass by it (i.e., on a conveyor). The 4 mm distance means that it is senses objects that pass by its sensor that are very close to it. I will be mounting this on an electrical panel system to teach some people about how different electrical sensors operate. They will learn what a proximity sensor is (how it detects objects), how it is wired up and how it can be used as a counter in a PLC type arrangement.

Very nice proximity sensor. I really like that there's an indication LED built it, the backside lights up when the switch is on. This is exactly what i needed for my CNC machine!!
