I needed these as metal plate standoffs and many times I have run into "cheaper" made ones with crummy threads. These were fine.

I needed 11mm spacers for a project, which are the closest thing to 7/16 that is available in metric. 10 and 12 are very common, but 11 is not so these have been perfect for me. Good quality brass, any M3 screw should fit fine with these. I've used about half of them already and they have worked out very well. I'm sure I'll be buying more of these soon.
