Took a while, came from China (before the tariff). Work very well.

This is the strongest way to join together two 3d printed parts - much better than glue. There are many videos on Youtube to help you design your parts to accommodate these types of fasteners, as well as how to actually install and use them in your prints. Essential!

Have had zero pull out or move a bit after insert. Just wish the solder tool would fit more snug into the inserts. Only the shoulder actually touches and transfers the heat. Same result as if you were using a soldering tip. It's also loose where it prevents you keeping the insert straight since it wobbles.

I'm using this kit with a Weller SP40 soldering iron and temperature control. Previously with my 3D models I had just been joining parts using screws directly into small holes in the plastic. Sometimes I'd run a tap through them other times I'd just use self tapping screws. The results weren't perfect by any means. These heat set inserts take everything to another level. I'll admit it took a few tries to get them to sit right, I don't have a fancy vertical soldering stand, but finally I got the hang of it. They are a great way to add additional function to your 3D projects. These seem well made and sized correctly. I use them with some 3mm hex bolts I also got on Amazon. Now all I need to do is purchase more of these in the various sizes. The attached photo shows the 3mm heat sets on a case for a Raspberry Pi Pico with an LED shield.

I use them to make special 3D prints and they work great every time.

I've set a few inserts, and it works as it should. What more can be said. I seems like a good value for the money.

These work exactly as you would expect. The melt in well and are strong. You must use the enclosed tool. You won’t get them in straight without it.
