The hooks, washers, and lock washers in the package were fine. However, the included nuts were too large, sliding easily over the threaded part of the hook and off the other end.

Not much to say. I used these to make grape trellises and they've held the wires under tension all season with ease. The hooks themselves have not rusted, so the stainless claim seems to be accurate. They're pretty strong, but don't get ridiculous with them and try to do something silly like hang a hanging bed or something that could result in someone getting injured.Use them within reason and they'll work well for you.

...or other personal-safety application. First, a closed eye would be more assured to not come loose during horseplay or whatever. Second, M8 isn't a lot of cross-section if the screw is installed with some bending moment, instead of straight-line tension.No question, this is nice hardware for less demanding applications, not involving human support.
