About Flange Nylon Inserted Lock Nuts
Flanged nylon lock nuts are kind of lock nut with blue nylon insert and greater load-bearing capabilities. The flange design allows the nut to span larger holes than standard nylon stop nut. The nuts are widely used in conjunction with a mating bolt to fasten two or more parts together. Its inner diameter might be slightly smaller than the major diameter of the screw. Then nylon insert locks the nut by friction against the screw under the applied radial compressive force.
The high quality 304 stainless steel provide perfect strength and good corrosion resistance in bad environments like high temperature, cold weather and high humidity areas without the need for time consuming and costly maintenance.

I greatly prefer nylock nuts with integral washers !!! Just wish they were available in SAE and not just metric.

One review criticized these because the locking nylon ring is at the outer end, not in the middle. I prefer them this way so I can assemble everything finger tight before wrenching them in place.
