Built a bunk bed out of 2x4's and used these inserts for easy set up and take down. First time using these ever and they worked so well. The bunk bed is done, it's holding together very well, nice and tight, and it looks great thanks to these inserts. No instructions are included so just use the drill bit a little but smaller than the size of the insert. Highly recommend testing on a spare piece of wood to find out what works for you. For us, we used a 15/32 OR a 31/64 (can't remember which at the moment) for the M8 inserts. Then we used an impact driver with a hex bit to drive in the insert to make quick work of it. Hope this helps!

These make great hold downs for a waste board. I typically space them at 50mm square. A tapered hole works best, otherwise they get very tight near flush height.

The external threads on these are not machined very well, these should be sharp and even, but they are dull and not that even, so these might be fine for MDF or softwoods. I was looking for another option for E-Z Lok insert, something with a hex insert method, but these were not it.
