My dog decided the chew up my laptop charger during finals week!! I scurried around to find this one and matched it up with all the details listed on my original Apple charger. (Had to buy here because Apple no longer sells them). My charger was A1436 45W MagSafe 2 charger. This one works just as well! I might miss the wind up wings. This one doesn’t have them but it sure does work! The quality is decent on the plug in hinge part too. This charger does not have the option to use the 3 prong plug adapter that the older Apple charger does. But I never used it anyways haha.

I have only been using this charger for about a week, but as of now it is a well made charger. It fits my 2014 MacBook Air, it charges at the same speed as the Apple brand charger, and it hasn’t overheated

Within minutes charger block becomes very hot and almost too hot to touch. Very unsafe!
