the blankets seem to be well made! Luckily I have not had to use one! I used them as gifts for my family, friends, neighbors, and staff. They all were happy to receive one and mentioned that they are glad to have it just in case!

Bought this 18 months ago. Needed it tonight, butter on steak flaming in the oven. Put the fire out and saved the steak!

Most of us were bombarded with internet and TV ads pre-Christmas last year encouraging the purchase of fire blankets. With four adult kids and two of them with my four grandkids, I caved in. I learned that this past November, one of my grand daughters accidentally set some packing material on fire by placing it too close to a lit candle on the same counter. With quick thinking, my daughter pulled out the fire blanket and smothered it very quickly, possibly saving the kitchen and maybe the house.Do i recommend these? Absolutely!!

I bought a ten pack so I could give them as stocking stuffers to the family. I hope these never get used.One thing, don't hang these right next to the stove, you may not be able to reach them if there is a grease fire.
