This 5/8 inch Jet Stroke truck letter brush is constructed out of pure squirrel and black ox hair that is secured in a seamless nickel ferrule. From the Mack Brush 1962 series it is ideal for larger lettering and production lettering, but can be used as a fill-in brush and out-liner for large letters. The long hair length allow the brush to carry a ot of paint. The brush is suitable for most surfaces. Hair length is 1-11/16 inches. Bought this brush blind but was pleased to find out that Mack is a really good brand for paint brushes. Shipping was fast brush works well happy with my purchase.

I'm a very experienced watercolorist with a HUGE collection of brushes. I wanted to test one of these because Mack is famous for making the best sign painting brushes in France with the best grey squirrel hair. Unfortunately, this brush really doesn't work with watercolor, but I guess that's my fault because I knew it wasn't designed for that. But even when I used it with a sign paint to do some long lines, I found the handle to be so thin it was uncomfortable to hold, and the grey squirrel hair doesn't seem as responsive as some Arches grey squirrel brushes I have from another retailer.

Came with a broken ferule. This is the third Mack lettering quill I have gotten from TPC Global with this problem. They should really do better or advertise them as faulty.

cant expect much for $15 I guess. I had to glue the ferrule back on, as it fell off after 3 words. I'll give it a 3 star... I'll fix it and it will be fine.
