Seems pretty simple but true to nature someone didn't read the instructions first and sort of messed up the install. BUT if you follow the instructions it takes literally seconds to install these - super EASY! and so far the results have been great. You can lay your phone camera's down and not worry about the lens getting scratched up, and if these do get scratched then they seem to be easy to replace. Very happy with the product and recommend these for that little bit of added protection for very expensive devices. One little grip I have with them is they do protrude ever so little past the edge of my phone case so they do come in contact with surfaces first but that's the whole idea to protect the camera with replaceable covers so not really an issue as they have not scratched up yet.
