Got this for a Christmas present for my son. He is having fun learning the art of YOYO. We love that there were a lot of extra string and different colors. Watching him practice at something, he wants to learn is fun.

This yoyo is great and targeted for advanced yoyoists. It is well balanced, colorful, and is a good fidget spinner when it's not being used as a yoyo.It has exchangeable ball bearings. The default "beginner" one is similar to what you'll find in most other ball bearing yoyos. The other "unresponsive" ball bearing is concave and a bit wider to help the string not rub against the yoyo while in a stall. A second threaded axel is supplied along with the unresponsive bearing that is claimed to be longer, but is actually the exact same length. It works just fine, but might cause a shorter lifespan of the yoyo with the unresponsive bearing in use since it isn't threaded as far into one side of the yoyo.Along with different bearing options, they also provide a glove, a case, a tool for switching out bearings, a second pair of hubstacks (useful for certain advanced tricks, or as a fidget spinner), and most importantly, lots of extra (and colorful) strings.The "beginner" bearing is much too advanced for someone not already accustomed to yoyoing. I'd classify the levels of yoyos as follows:1) string tied to the axel (intended for younger kids to start to yoyo, stalls are impossible)2) string wound tightly around straight axel (for beginners, stalls are difficult, return is very easy)3) string wound loosely around straight axel (advanced beginners, stalls are easy but don't last, return is fairly easy)4) string around axel with ball bearing (advanced, stalls are easy and last a while, return is difficult without practice)5) string around axel with "unresponsive" ball bearing (performance level, stalls are guaranteed and last a long time, return is impossible without a binding trick)This yoyo gives you the option to switch between (4) and (5) in that classification. Beginner yoyo-ers will be disappointed and rarely get the yoyo to return to their hand with either bearing option.

It's a very nice looking YOYO, but it does have some design issues. I only used it in Responsive Mode, as I've never used a Non-Responsive YOYO before and some of the issues that I ran into with it in Responsive Mode would be worse in Non-Responsive Mode. The first issue with Responsive Mode probably does not affect Non-Responsive Mode, which is the width between the spools. Typically you want this to be about the width of 2 or 3 strings, while this width here is 2-3 times larger than it should be. This contributes to issues with it winding back up, making it more difficult than it needs to be.The bigger issue is that it is not heavy enough to keep spinning for any length of time. The rotational speed declines very fast due to it's lack of weight, making some tricks like "Walking The Dog" more difficult, and shorter than it should be. This could be fixed by adding some metal to the outer ring of the spools, or by using a heavier polymer. A normal Butterfly YOYO is not transparent, and has a metal core to keep it spinning, which is missing here.I struggled with the star rating and ended up giving it 4 stars, as I do believe that it is better than a 3 star rating. It's probably more of a 3.5 star rating. It's not a bad YOYO, but it is more difficult to use because of the light weight. It does look really nice when it spins, which is another reason that I couldn't drop it to 3 stars. I'll need to learn how to use it Non-Responsive Mode, and see how that is, but the weight is probably going to make that more difficult for me.

This yo-yo is great for beginners. It comes pack loaded with a case, multiple colored strings, and 2 different center pins to change the function of the yo-yo. My favorite part of this particular yo-yo is the quick wind-up. It also adds a cool fidget aspect to the yo-yo.

This is a great toy! There are different colored strings in the package so you can change them out. It's neat to see how the yoyo actually works. It's smooth and pretty and really fun!
