There is not a muffler made (for a Jeep) that's worth nearly $700.00, but I paid it, so I suppose I shouldn't complain...The build quality of the muffler is incredible. The finish looks like it will last and not burn off anytime soon. Beautiful welds and no sharp edges. A nice, clean finish and a solid, hefty feel when mounted up.The tips are not even/flush when mounted, but that is dependent upon the pipe leading back to the muffler. If you are doing a Saturday afternoon, driveway muffler swap and do not have the ability to make exhaust bends, you might be stuck with the uneven look. Nothing that I could do made the tips extend out the back evenly. I'm not worried about it. Maybe someday if the muffler is still presentable and functional and I replace the exhaust pipe, I'll work with it. Otherwise, it's uneven...I installed new hangers using Vaseline to prep (it won't attack rubber and will dissipate). Everything went into place fairly easily. Make sure to clean-up the end of the exhaust pipe and smear some (copper-based) anti-seize around the end. The clamp that comes with the muffler is high-quality. It will squeeze down nicely.Either I got used to the sound after a week or two, or the muffler finally burned in, but it seemed to mellow after a few hundred miles. I think when you first install a sound device (high-flow muffler), you squeeze the throttle down and wring out the gears a bit more. That affects mileage. After you settle down and/or outgrow the thrill, MPGs do seem to improve slightly. I installed a Flow-Master CAI a week later and noticed a slight fuel mileage improvement. The sound also seemed to be fuller and not quite as "out-the-back." Yes, it droans! Anything other than factory is going to droan. It's just a matter of whether you tolerate the sound, or not. I like the sound, but would not want to hear the sick-cow sounding shifts of an automatic transmission with this muffler. I enjoy the fact that my Jeep is a manual shift and that I can control the sound-effects with the throttle pedal. Just remember, it's like having headphones on... The sound you are hearing is in your head and will follow you everywhere you go. On the outside, the muffler isn't really that loud. After you go a few hundred feet down the road, no one can hear you and they don't really care about your Jeep's muffler or how cool you think it is. The black color looks good and the tips have a nice angled cut. MagnaFlow seems to make high-quality products. This set-up is a perfect example. (2010 2-door Jeep Wrangler Sport, 3.8L, manual).

After researching exhausts for my 2014 JK 2 door and reading reviews, I went with the 15160 and I'm glad i did. This exhaust looks and sounds awesome. There is absolutely no drone at cruising highway speed from 55-70. You'll get a growl at start up, and a nice idle that is actually pretty quiet. Where you really hear this exhaust is when accelerating and at speeds between 0 and about 45, or if youre passing someone above that. Installation was really easy, actually took about 5 minutes, however getting the old muffler off was a pain in the a$$. I watched someones video who when he loosened the one clamp between the muffler and the exhaust pipe, it came right off. I separated the clamp all the way, even banged on the pipes, nothing. I had to get a metal chisel and wedge it between the pipe gap (without trying to damage the exhaust pipe) and on top of the muffler pipe to create separation, almost gave up. But finally it came free. There are two rubber muffler hangers, the passenger side is nearly impossible until you not only undo the driver side hanger, but get the muffler loose. Once its hanging down on the driver side, youll have the room to move the muffler to work it free of the hanger on the pass. side. The new muffler is a breeze to install, hang the passenger side, attach the pipe, hang the driver side.Ive read others where they said it hung uneven or whatever, but mine hung evenly and damn near perfect.Very happy with it so far, love to get on it and hear the deep growl.

I installed this on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 4" lift and 24,500 miles. It arrived very well packaged and much a week quicker than predicted! I read most of the reviews and purchased the Lisle exhaust remover pliers for $20. In hindsight I would just use that $20 to buy two new rubber hangers and just cut the old ones off. I used the pliers and my 15 year old son and with some WD40 we managed to get the driver's side off. We had lots of trouble with the passenger side and ended up attacking the exhaust pipe - removing the old clamp (which is tack welded to the muffler pipe) and sliding it off. This took a lot of PB Blaster and rubber mallet but it eventually came off. Once this was accomplished it was a simple task to wrench the passenger side off the hanger. Installation of the new muffler was simple. Hooked into the passenger side hanger, slid the exhaust pipe on and then the driver side hanger followed by tightening the clamp on the exhaust. I followed the advice of leaving the foam on the tips until I had it installed and I'm glad I did. I did not notice any difference in one tip sticking any farther out than the other. Both of mine lined up evenly and barley stick out under the bumper - maybe 1/4". I am very satisfied with the look and sound paired with my cold air intake. I have a soft top and don't notice any droning. After shopping around several popular 4X4 retailers I paid $430 at Amazon versus $580 elsewhere. A great deal and a super cool look on my Anvil JK!

I'm far from being a mechanic, and this install took me 10 minutes (removing the oem rusted muff from my jeep took me 1 hour -- I had to manually saw and Dremel through the bolt.)This muff sounds AMAZING, I go out for a joy ride just for the sound ! Would buy again. Hopefully will last long, time will tell.

Looks great and sounds fantastic. The install is pretty easy and I had it installed in about a half hour on my sons 2013 JK. After seeing and hearing this muffler it is now on my wish list for my own JKU.
