Outstanding Quality and Performance!I am thoroughly impressed with the build quality of this mount. Both the hinge and the magic arm are made of sturdy metal, giving it a robust feel. The magnets are perfectly calibrated; I tested it with my DJI Pocket 2 and a sizable battery pack, and I was initially uncertain about how well they would hold up. To my surprise, these magnets can support at least four times that combined weight with ease!Just a note: the SmallRig Universal Magic Arm is not part of this package; I purchased it for my previous fence mount.I was hesitant to invest in this mount due to its price, especially after going through three other brands in a season — two of which broke due to plastic construction and one that just felt cheap. However, this mount has exceeded my expectations. It may resemble a door hinge, but it performs phenomenally. This is, without a doubt, the best mount I've ever used!

My husband is the Gamechanger Dad for our teenage son's travel ball team, so I got this for him to use at tournaments. He usually records from an Apple iphone 15, which fits right into the adaptor on the top of the tripod. He has a couple other fence mounts that attach well on the fence webbing, but this magnetic mount is good when you are in a spot where there is a metal pole to snap it to, or you can get creative and use other metal surfaces (like metal sheds/dugouts). The benefit is that this will magnetically attach to any flat smooth surface whereas other types of mounts need an angular piece to attach the tripod to.

I ordered this because the magnet mount will do things that an ordinary round mount just can't handle. Specifically, in addition to fence poles, it works on corrugated steel buildings, which opens up a lot of possibilities for me. In addition to the sturdy hinged magnet plate, there's some other accessories included which are good quality and useful. Five stars.
