I buy tons of stuff, but I rarely write reviews (when would I even find the time? New stuff arrives as I’m writing this)—and I’m almost never surprised by the quality of what I buy. When I am surprised, it’s usually in a "Oh no, what is this disaster?" kind of way. But this time was different.When the package arrived, I was baffled by how heavy it was, but as soon as I opened it, I knew—this was love at first sight.Let me just say, the only "downside" to this product was the time it took to assemble—it took me a whopping 1 minute and 20 seconds! (Kidding. It was less than that. I probably spent more time admiring it than actually putting it together.) No tools, no headaches, no "why isn’t this piece aligning" drama.Compare that to another product of the same kind, a fast-food meal or two cheaper, that I’m currently returning. That one required screwdrivers, a hand drill, two hours of my time, and a degree in mechanical engineering just to assemble—and even then, it seemed determined to make my life miserable.But this beauty? A dream. Super strong magnets—I didn’t even know magnets like this existed! :) The arms bend perfectly and actually stay in position, which is more than I can say for most products of this kind.Honestly, I’m half tempted to frame this thing and hang it on my wall.Among the thousands of gadgets and tools I’ve bought, this is hands down one of the best. Hats off to the manufacturer. Kudos for the awesome job!

This device works great to hold two pieces steady so that you can use your hands to work a soldering iron and solder. Probably has many other applications as well whenever you need a third hand. I bought the entire kit to have all the attachments that I might need but haven't used all the attachments yet. I noticed that the arm that holds a heat gun or some other larger object had difficulty standing upright. I contacted the company through Amazon and they responded very quickly, by the next day. As it turns out, the adjustment knob at the middle elbow needs to be tightened down snuggly for the arm to stiffen up and stand upright. Once it is tightened down, the device will hold its position in an infinite number of positions since they are ball and socket joints. Hope this helps with anyone wondering how the device works. The company was super quick to respond and were very nice about it. I have great confidence in their customer service and would easily buy from them again. The device is well made and the magnets are extremely strong neodymium magnets. The magnifying lens is high quality glass and even though it is listed as 3X, it seems stronger. Regardless, it is more than strong enough at 3X for doing intricate work. The LED light has multiple settings and allows 3 choices for the color and 10 choices for the intensity. It is quite bright and sufficient for just about any job. Overall, very happy with the product and with the supplier. The product does everything as advertised.

Wow! Great product! It is very well made and very versatile. I love the way I can easily change the tools, take them on and off the magnetic plate as needed. The price is right. I do soft soldering projects and jewelry making.

This product is well-made and is versatile and excellent. It will help you out of all kinds of small parts/soldering challenges. I solder all kinds of things from simple PC boards to micro stuff and this product helps me. Some of the components I use are expensive, fragile and can be ruined by too much heat or applying heat too often to the leads. The soldering has to be done right the first time and, with the control and visibility this offers, I nail it every time. Just buy it.

This is one of the best investments for my studio I think I've made so far. Strong magnets, everything is adjustable, I love the clamps, the light is bright and ultra handy, easily adjusted to the angle you need, and the arms and clips hold their position and items exactly as expected, no drooping or dropping things! The little clips are removable and the bottom plate is super heavy, no chance of bending.

Yes, this is pricey, but the reviews convinced me it might be worth it. I just now unboxed it and I have to say, the build quality and design of this thing exceed my expectations. It's really a beautiful thing. I'm remembering all those times I asked my wife to hold some wires and well, you know how that goes right? No more holding solder wire in my mouth! Extra hands, where have you been all my life?? I can't wait to try it.

Great design and quality. However I received it missing the magnet base that is in the advertised description. More hassle than it's worth to follow up so it's just been a disappointment.

I am really pleased with this item. Bought as a gift for an Electrical Systems Engineering student in our house. Comes generously stocked with everything you are likely to need. The build is impressive. The look and feel of the components are good. We have used it for some basic projects at this point. The arms and clips are solid and steady, the magnets more than strong enough. I expect this unit to be part of our shop for many years to come. It is affectionately being called 'The Doc Oc' for obvious reasons. Comes highly recommended by us. Perhaps the base plate could be larger depending on what you are working on, but it would be very easy to come up with a larger plate if one was every required.
