I don't normally write reviews because it is not worth my time to do so but, after I read some of the Two and One star comments, I was a bit leery. After I used the tools, it became obvious that those complaining have no idea how to use such a simple tool. I work the crap out of two of the bits and when I was done, there wasn't a thing wrong with either of them. These tools, made my job so much easier, I wonder why I never used them before now. They center perfectly and none of the drills broke. Yeah, I would most definitely purchase these centering bits again.

I used the 9/64†bit to set and level 8 garage cabinet doors. Drilled each door with three hinges (six screws per hinge). Also used the smaller 7/64†bit to drill holes for the #6 handle screws. This set was valuable in helping me drill the holes quickly and accurately. Each counter-sunk screw fit perfectly into place. Saved me hours of work and produced a well-built high quality piece of carpentry for my workshop.

Having had purchased a cheap knock-off brand prior to this and having them fall short on the quality control, prompted me to purchase these, as recommended by a YouTube channel woodworker. These certainly are FAR superior to the stuff you get cheap from China. The main difference is that you get 5 different sizes that are accurate with collars that are the appropriate thickness to fit North American hinges and counter-sunk holes. What I had bough from China fit the holes, but went all the way through, resulting in hole-depths that were NOT consistent. These Snappy bits were perfect fits and did not change the depth of the holes, as they properly fit the taper of the hinge-holes. The springs are also well made and strong; a bit too strong, but I guess they're still relatively new. They are tough to press into the holes, but that's okay, so one star off of the Ease of Use rating. :) Other than that, these are super value for the price. Definitely American made is the way to go for North American wood-workers and craftspeople.

Best invention EVER!!! Works like a dream, so glad I found this product. I am/was replacing all the interior doors in our house (10 doors ranging from 24 inch to 32 inch) so I needed to both route the recess for the hinges ( two per door so 20 routing operations) and pre-drill the holes for each hinge (three per hinge so 60 drilling operations) plus pre-drilling the screw holes for the new door handle hardware ( two per door so 20 more holes). This set of self centering drill bits has not only made this dramatically easier but as you know (if you have ever hung a new door in an existing door way) you can get everything else perfect but if the holes for the hinge screws are off center, your door is NOT going to close properly. So definitely 5 stars for these drill bits.
