I have a new Hitachi hammer drill. It has a setting for using it as a regular drill. However, since it requires sds-plus drill bits, it does limit my use of it unless I go buy all new drill bits (which is too expensive). This adapter let's me use my 1/4" hex set of drill bits and other screw heads. It is good quality and can't beat the price to extend the usefulness of my new drill.

works exactly as it's supposed to and arrived fast. Excellent value for a Makita brand ¼" hex to sds+ shank adapter. Tight tolerances, exactly as one would want with an adapter for using ¼" shank drill/hammer drill bits on an SDS+ rotohammer. Very well constructed, I expect it'll last. Would recommend.

Works well but like any adapter you lose a little (vibration, power). But, I have it so it saves me bringing another drill along with my SDS if I'm putting in tapcons. Put in the adapter, the bit or nut driver and you're ready to go with just one drill.
