The 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Brushless 2-Piece Combo Kit (XT288T) delivers two premium brushless tools for drilling, driving, and fastening. The Kit includes two fast-charging 18V LXT® 5.0Ah batteries, which are compatible with the full range of Makita LXT® tools and products.

The Kit includes the 18V LXT® Brushless 4-Speed Impact Driver (XDT19), offering 4-speed power selections (0-1,100/ 0-2,100/ 0-3,200/ 0-3,600 RPM & 0-1,100/ 0-2,600/ 0-3,600/ 0-3,800 IPM) which provides precise fastening control for a wide range of applications. The Impact Driver features Assist Mode (A-mode) which helps eliminate "screw cam-out" and "cross threading" by driving at low speed until tightening begins. It also features two Tightening Modes (T-mode) for faster tightening of self-drilling screws in thick or thin gauge metal that helps prevent damage to the screw or workpiece. The XDT19 delivers industry-leading performance in a compact and ergonomic design. Added features include the one-touch 4-speed power selector button under the chuck, which enables one-handed speed changes, and reverse rotation auto-stop mode which stops rotation and impact when the fastener is loosened adequately to help prevent over-loosening and dropped fasteners.

Also included is the 18V LXT® Brushless Variable 2-Speed Hammer Driver-Drill (XPH14) which combines power and run-time for more drilling, driving, and fastening tasks in wood, metal, and masonry. It delivers up to 2,100 RPM and a full 1,250 in.lbs. of Max Torque and weighs only 6.0 lbs. with battery. The XPH14 has a more compact and ergonomic design, up to 14% shorter than the previous model. It's powered by a Makita brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. With a 2-speed transmission (0-550 & 0-2,100 RPM), the XPH14 can tackle a wide range of drilling, fastening and hammer drilling applications. Other features include an all-metal ½” self-ratcheting chuck for improved bit-gripping strength, L.E.D. lights, and a rubberized soft grip for increased comfort.

Both tools feature an efficient Makita-built brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) provides improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh conditions.

The kit is part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT® System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is a communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT® and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.

I have a lot of Malika cordless tools, and feel I am forever tied to Malika because of the investment I have in batteries. The good thing about it, is the batteries last a really long time. I have some that are 8 years old and still holding a decent charge. I bought this in part, because I wanted two more batteries but also because my old drill died. The drill is a bit heavier then my old one, but it is also sturdier and hopefully will last longer. I’ve burned through 2 already and seem to be the only tool from Malika that hasn’t lasted. I have 2 impact drivers, so this is my third. They simply keep getting better. This one is faster and more powerful than my last one and I thought that was a big improvement over the first. I use these a lot and am very happy with their design and usability. They’re really nice tools.

After reviewing different brands like Dewalt, Milwaukee, Metabo etc etc i decided to go with Makita. Why? It was one of the lighter drills and drivers out there and they both did really well with all the tests that i watched on youtube. I have a house made out of concrete and masonry so i needed a drill that could handle the walls and this one did just that. No problem at all. Dewalt was sometimes producing smoke during different testing and Milwaukee was a bit to expansive. This set was priced really well for a day or so and bought it without hesitation. The impact driver is amazingly light and small, even with the 5ah battery and it has loads of power. I am thinking about getting a 2ah or 1.5ah battery just to get into tiny spaces. There are cheaper brands out there but if you’re gonna get a hammer drill and impact driver, just spent the extra bucks on getting a quality product like the brands well known for making power tools. Its gonna save you lots of headaches and work and you’ll keep them for many years.

I bought this kit recently after completing a fairly large deck job where the customer specified 316 stainless hardware be predrilled, countersunk, and screwed down. I have had maikita impacts and drills for about 10 years. They had older 2.0Ah batteries that were well used. Well the deck job showed just how ineffective they had become with charging happening about every hour. 4 batteries and 2 chargers running. This new kit with XDT 16 impact driver and XPH 14 is the bomb. The impact driver has 4 speeds and a memory for how you want it set as well as the 4 remaining battery life lights in the back of each of the new 5.0AH batteries supplied These newer batteries also run my older equipment so there is some flexibility there. The XPH Hammer Drill Driver may take the place for coring and hole drilling for routine wiring and plumbing installation although I have not used it that much yet. I reviewed it against other Makita and it was the only one that proved to be slightly stronger than the infamous XPH 07. Check the price of any kit with XPH07 and concurrent impact driver and you can see that this package was the nuts as far as quality and price combined. I have used the XDT16 significantly and it is great. I recently ran 1/2" x 5 lags into .25 holes with a quarter inch socket adaptor kit with no problem so its got plenty of balls.Very pleased with this combo.

I am now trying to fix everything at home. This is an amazing set, and the price was a bargain!!!!!!! I am in love with them.Do consider that they are heavy, at least the drill. The impact drill is lighter than the regular drill, but still a bit heavy.

I have always really enjoyed my Makita gear. When I was a lineman waaaay back in the early nineties the 9065D cordless drill was my got to. I was a drop installer and it was used daily for 8 hours. Dropped from ladders, thrown in the back of the truck, et cetera. That drill lasted until 2015... I got a Dewault, it worked until the battery life was terrible and barely could drive a screw much less punch a hole. 8 years later I pick up these two Makita guys and I am already stoked. They are powerful, charge quickly, easy to use, lighter and a smaller profile. Once again superior. Makita rules.A couple drawbacks:I'm left handed so maybe that's my issue but the meat on my pointer-finger just happens to be in the right spot to press the backward button in to "neutral" while I'm pulling the trigger just a little too often. There should be a pocket/space/something to strap the charger into a spot in the bag. The bag has lots of pockets, but nothing seems to fit in any of them. The batteries by themselves fit in the side pockets. *shrug* it's a sack to carry stuff in, it would be better if it organized the tools that came with it.

El taladro como recomendación usar el aditamento para sostener ta que es difícil de controlar por tanta fuerza que tiene y la pistola de impacto es muy ligera y potente
