Your cart is empty.The Malco S3R 3 inch hand seamers, with forged steel jaws, are the premier choice for bending, folding, flattening and straightening sheet metal edges or safely gripping and moving sheet metal around the job site. Designed for all the metal trades, including HVACR installation, roofing and siding applications and commercial building and remodeling. The drop-forged, high-impact jaws feature depth markings graduated in 1/4 inch (6.4 mm) increments and are complimented by a powerful compound leverage design. Easily bend flanges or completely flatten seams from 1/4 to 1-1/4 inch (6.4-31.8 mm) deep in 24 gauge (0.71 mm) galvanized or (0.61 mm) mild steel. The offset design of the S3R Seamers makes it an ideal choice for overhead work. These Seamers are also equipped with Malco's Redline Handles. The handle opening of Malco's REDLINE gripped tools maximizes the powerful leverage of compound head-to-handle linkage while providing a more comfortable operating range for your hand. Ergonomic handle contours with an over-molded, non-slip handle insert assures a natural fit and feel for the way you work. They work great I like the clamping power, the lock takes some getting used to and the angled vs straight seems to be a great choice.

Makes plenum work simple minus the expensive cost of getting them from an Hvac dealer. Good tool to have in hand and they hold up well like the malco name is known for

Good tool. The lock is easy to use and doesn't slip like the one on my straight handle. Used this to rework and old standing seam roof. The offset gave enough leverage to straighten seams and enough clearance to bend a new edge. And the hand grips don't slip.

Wasn't sure about buying this tool because it's more expensive than some other brands. In the end, i'm glad i did. It feels high quality and it makes bending and straightening thin metal an easy task. I find myself using it more often than i expected, like today i used it to resize the earthquake straps on a new water heater.

OverallMalco has some great solid seamers, but like some (not all) of its competitors they seem to put in a pretty hard spring.when you are bending seams for an extended period of time, just the strength of the spring can wear your hand out.I don't quite understand the logic of having such hard Springs installed where the strength needed to bring the seamer back to open position is minimal.One more issue is when trying to squeeze 2 or 3 over bends it becomes pretty hard. The handles should be almost touching when no sheet is inserted. I work with copper.Hopefully it cracks soon so I can weld it back tighter.Other then that, quality is top notch.
