This swim vest is not only stylish but it fits my fifteen pound pug perfectly. I ordered a size small. The handle is strong enough to pick her up, i like the memaid tail as When she's floating in the water and it's lying flat on top and covers her curly tail. Strong enough to keep her floating and not let her head dip in the water.I just got this only one week ago. I will update again after some more uses.We had her in lake havasu and she did fine in the water with us.Price was good as well.

My 11 year old Boston terrier is 90% fish and she needs a little assistance in her adventures these days. This jacket JUST fit her and is perfect. If your pup is a pound over 27 you may want to size up to a large! The adjustable straps are helpful and the fin gives you a smile as well :)

First bought a medium thinking my dog could fit that after taking her measurements (she was on the higher end of some, lower on others). The medium did fit, but barely. Returned and got the large after re-measuring her. The bottom part of the vest has a large section of Velcro, which is great and makes it secure, but for fluffy, barrel chested pups sizing up might be best. Great visibility, value, and easy to put on once your dog gets used to it. (For reference my dog is a 35lb corgi with a fluffier coat)

I would go to XL instead of L -- the chest girth velcro on my small ( 55 lb ) Boxer was a little tight/not much room to close -- the straps with snap clip buckles were fine. I would definitely go a size larger on deep chested breeds. Seems very sturdy / well made, as I was able to pick her up like a suitcase, by the dorsal handle.

Porkchop is a little 28lb fatty. But he LOVES the water. Unfortunately for him, he's top heavy so swimming usually results in him coming close to drowning.I couldn't resist the merman costume. Mainly because it was cheap and it would arrive before our weekend adventure. He was a 24" chest, so I opted for a large, since he's only 2 and loves to eat!Initially he hated putting it on, but as he went to go see all the kids and they greeted him with joy he succumbed to his fate as the mer-pug.All in all, he likes his new suit, it fits him well, he will be able to grow more chunky into it and he won't drown!It's a 5 star for me!

I bought this for my Dachshund. Looks so good on him and is pretty durable. He has not used it in the water yet, but we soon will. My dog is a standard dachshund that weighs about 20 pounds. I did buy the small and think I could've gotten away with an XS but the small tightened good enough it will work.
