Fitted this to my '61 Olds Dynamic nearly 6 months ago as it was running very poorly having been off the road for around 12 years. It obviously needed the ignition system sorting so decided to upgrade to electronic for reliability and easy maintenance (no more points/condenser).Fairly straight forward to fit, from strip down to engine up and running took about 2 hours.Car fired instantly on initial start up, I was lucky that I got the timing pretty close when I refitted the distributor, as I expected some tweaking would be required.Car runs great now, have had no issues with it in the last 6 months, and the Olds manages around 12mpg (UK Gallon) on my 3 mile drive to work and I've had 20mpg on a motorway journey, which I don't think is too bad for a 2 ton car with a 6.5L V8!

Easy enough to install (directions were very well written) as long as you have a basic understanding of how things work in there. The only trouble I ran into was that one of the holes in the black plastic instert has to be widened a bit and I had to find a longer set of screws to secure the rotor back in place. Besides that went in easy and my truck fired right up, no problem. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to upgrade from points for cheap.

Easy to install and works great. I bought a second one for another car. Would buy another.

I bought this kit for my 70 olds 442. I'll give a honest review when I install the kit later this year, after rebuilding the engine.

Very easy to install, I used this in my '65 Impala to replace the points but keep a stock look, System works great, no more missing, etc. I would highly recommend this to anyone driving an older car that wants that stock look, but doesn't want the hassle of a points system.

Installation was very easy, but getting the car to run has been quite a problem. I seem to have opened up Pandoras box as I now have an electrical gremlin that I can't seem to locate. I put the old points back in last week and still can't get the car to fire up. It ran before I started the conversion. I'm not saying the e-spark unit caused my problem, but if your car runs with the points in it, like mine did for 50 years, why change? I'm sorry I bought this unit.

I am not a hot rodder. Just wanted a modern ignition in a 68 Pontiac. It works fine. You do have to pull the distributor to install it. So if you are afraid of that, maybe get some one else to put it in for you.

Kit was missing some important parts. We finally got it working, but the kit was missing the two 1" long #10-32 screws that are needed to secure this module to the rotor. The ones needed are hex head, which isn't as common in that size. We ended up having to source those locally, and cut the ones we found to length.
