Perfect fit for the 2018 BMW G01 X3 M40i's B58 motor. It will probably fit any B58. It appears to be a quality part.This little filter cassette pops right into place within plastic holder mechanism. It comes with a rubber gasket which will replace the old one on the holder mechanism as well. And there is a crush washer also included for the drain plug on the oil pan.Small tip here. I suggest adding a thin (very small amount) of oil (any type of motor oil) to both ends of the new oil filter, at the rubber gaskets, so that it can pop right on to the holder mechanism (and engine receiver) without using too much force. You might also add a small film of oil to the new large rubber gasket which you placed onto the outside of the holder mechanism, so that it can engage with the receiver easier as well. It will facilitate easier installation.Worth mentioning. Replace the filter every 5,000 when you change the oil (at least). While some might consider skipping the Oil Filter change once in a while, it is worth noting that this filter design is far from the sturdiest implementation and inside the B58 engine which makes close to 400 HP stock, the filter has already developed a reputation of having the potential of being torn in to pieces. You really don't want that.
