I was amazed at the rate this dethatcher worked. Just a bit of advice: like most attachments with the Mantis, it works better when you walk backward!

This de-thatcher attachment for the Mantis tiller works way beyond my expectations! Very easy to install. I have a good size yard, and was worried about the time required to de-thatch it, but I was pleasantly surprised at the performance of the Tiller with the de-thatcher attached, didn't take much time at all. Cleans up as expected, its a tiller ok.

This dethatcher attachment works very well, just like in the video. My shields did not fit, but it was an easy fix.I just drilled a hole in each one and bolted them to my existing shield. The channels which hold on to the existing shield are too far apart, so I hooked onto the front one and bolted the rear area, near the edge of my existing shield.I contacted customer support, and they said they would look into it and get back to me, which they did. Said it should have worked with my old Mantis SV-4/A. Still plan on sending them a pic, but in the meantime, this dethatcher works very well. Worth the money; when I rented a power rake last year it costs a minimum of $80 for 4 hours. Will pay for itself by next year.

It works well. Only complaint is that the panels used to cover the wires keep talking off. They are hard to install and are a poor design. Otherwise it does the job.

I dethatch my lawn every year and have always done so by hand with the dethatching rake. It was always a pain to do so. Then I realized that I have a Mantis tiller and could add the dethatching attachment. Instead of ordering the part directly from Mantis, I decided to see if I could find it cheaper on Amazon. I'm happy I found it. It makes it so much easier to dethatch my lawn. It does a great job of dethatching and loosening the soil in preparation for overseeding. It saved me tons of time and effort from doing it by hand. If you have a huge yard, it will take you quite a while to complete the job. But, if you were doing it by hand it would take you even longer. This works well for me.

LIKE : really cleared ALL the dead grass... clean as a whistle.OK : kinda slow. I used the aerator a ahead of time... It removed a TON of dead material. Filled 60 Cu Ft bin three times. Used dethatcher for clean up duty. Worked admirably. A bit slow. Guessing it would have taken a long time to use this dethatcher as the only tool.GLAD : I have both... just cost a bit more.JUST OK : no bearings on wheels.... wobble a lot. I'll lube... might help.BUY THIS : Saved a lot of time versus using hand dethatcher rake. Tried that. Not again. Buy this.

No wheel bearings!!!Plastic wheels are worn out after 1h usage!!!Plate that holds the wheel axle bolt is also already bend!!!On a scale from 1 to 10 this is a -100. For $150.00 I would have expected a quality piece of equipment and not this cheep Chinese crap. This is a total rip off.At least I got my front yard done and now I have figure out what to do in my back yard.SincerelyWG

Does aeration to your lawn, and you can always do overseed while you at it

This unit does a great job. it pulls up all the dead grass without damage. You do have to overlap your rows as there is a gap in the middle. It is easier to pull the unit as you walk backwards.The left side is without overlapping; the right side was overlapped.
